We are currently recruiting science teachers for a number of secondary schools around Cambridge. The schools are looking for Science teachers on to join them on a short/long term basis.
Your responsibilities will include:You will be part of a committed hard working department and a supportive team. You will be responsible for teaching KS3/KS4 Science.Creating a positive learning environment to promote effective learning within the classroomUsing a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interestPreparing and marking set work, including homework, to facilitate pupil development
In this role you will need:Experience teaching physics and/or chemistry to KS4 (GCSE)A willingness to enthuse and encourage students.The ability to stretch and challenge academic students.The ability to manage challenging behaviour.Have a genuine love for teaching your subject
Qualifications neededQTS or equivalent teaching qualificationsGood knowledge of the national curriculumExperience working up to KS4A real drive to inspire the next generation
