A mixed gender public secondary school for ages 11-18 is seeking a Science teacher who is hungry for success and ready to go from January. The school is located just off the M23 and is within walking distance of Crawley train station. The school has a really modern feel to it and is part of an evolving academy trust that have a great development scheme with in-house training that is particularly advantageous to those who have ambitions of moving into senior positions.

Candidates with experience of supporting children with special needs would be particularly strong candidates due to the high number of children with special needs and behavioural challenges within the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing lessons in line with the curriculum
* Delivery of Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons with specialist subject up to key stage 5
* Setting challenging homework which effectively links the lessons
* Marking and providing effective feedback on completed work
* Managing classroom behaviour
* Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children
* Attendance at school events such as parents evening

Key requirements for the position include:

* A clear and up-to-date enhanced DBS check (we can support you with your application)
* QTS is desirable but not essential, NQT applications are warmly welcomed
* Experience of teaching Physics, Chemistry & Biology
* A degree and a relevant teaching qualification
* Evidence of the right to work in the UK
