Are you a qualified teacher who is competent in teaching all 3 science specialisms across Key Stage 3 with your specialism to key stage 4?

A mixed gender public secondary school for ages 11-16 is seeking a science teacher who is passionate about the development of children. In its most recent Ofsted inspection the inspector praised the efforts of the management team in maintaining high standards of behaviour and attitude amongst its pupils. The school is easily accessible from the larger surrounding towns such as Redhill and Crawley and the nearest train station which is on the mainline from London to Brighton is within 1 mile of the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing lessons in line with the curriculum
* Delivery of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at key stage 3 with specialism to key stage 4
* Setting challenging homework which effectively links the lessons
* Marking and providing effective feedback on completed work
* Managing classroom behaviour
* Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children
* Attendance at school events such as parents evening

Key requirements for the position include:

* A clear and up-to-date enhanced DBS check (we can support you with your application)
* QTS is desirable but not essential, NQT applications are warmly welcomed
* Experience of teaching Physics, Chemistry & Biology
* A degree and a relevant teaching qualification
* Evidence of the right to work in the UK
