Science Teacher

Southend Area

Responsibilities:

*Have a proven track record in Science teaching, as well as raising achievement and attainment
*Display the ability to devise and implement high quality support programmes for those pupils not hitting desired targets
*Ensure those with special educational needs receive work which is matched closely to their ability to allow them to make good progress

Requirements:

*Qualifications and experience of teaching Science at all key stages, with a particular focus on identifying areas for improvement at Key Stage 3, and making a difference immediately, with a view to pupils being back on track in time for Key Stage 4 and the beginning of their GCSE studies
*A team-orientated attitude where effective communication is considered vital to department progress
*Be able to provide consistently clear improvement points for students, and make sure these are actioned
