A well established SEMH/SEBD setting are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school which is located in North Leicestershire accommodates for pupils aged 7-16 with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties who struggle to access mainstream education. Pupils may also have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

- Have experience of working with young people with SEMH/SEBD needs
- Be comfortable in managing challenging behaviour
- Be able to engage with and build rapport with young people
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style

Responsibilities:

- Work with students to help keep them engaged in learning
- Manage behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy
- Working proactively with other team members
- Ensure the safeguarding of students
