A well-established Special school in North East Leicestershire are seeking Teaching Assistants who can provide crucial support across the school. The school accommodates for students aged 8-16 who have Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and who struggle to access mainstream education.

The school offers students a tailored package of education, care and pastoral support with staff focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for students. During its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was rated as 'Good' with aspects of 'Outstanding'.

The school have long term roles available which could become permanent for the right candidate.


- Work with students to help keep them engaged in learning
- Manage behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy
- Working proactively with other team members
- Ensure the safeguarding of students

The ideal candidate for this role will:

- Have experience of working with young people with SEMH/SEBD needs
- Be comfortable in managing challenging behaviour
- Be able to engage with and build rapport with young people
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style
- Be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake training
