A specialised school in the Burgess Hill area is looking for a KS1/2 SEN teacher to join their outstanding school for September. Children at this school have a wide range of special needs which may be associated with learning difficulties, the foremost of these being in pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Attachment Disorder and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

Responsibilities of the role include:
Keep record of students' progress
Create stimulating and engaging lessons for the students
Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with school curriculum
Manage learners' progress and attainment
The ability to teach learners on the autistic spectrum and manage their development

Skills required for this role:
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to cope under pressure
Ability to assist in the differentiation of programmes for individual learners needs and levels of achievement
Ability to assist in the development of study programmes for specific subject area/s
Experience of working with young people with Learning disabilities, ASC, and challenging behaviour
