A specialised school in the Brighton area is looking for a learner support worker that can join their amazing support team. The school supports young adults aged 13 to 19 who are all on the Autistic spectrum at various levels.
Working with autistic learners comes with its challenges but also with its strengths.

Your responsibilities will include:
Assist students during class making sure they are on track.
Liaise with class teacher to ensure a smooth running class.
Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
Be an active part in setting the learning environment.
Supervision of children during their playtimes/lunch breaks.


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
Good maths and English skills
Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
