Do you have experience working with SEN children or young adults?

A school in the Brighton area is looking for a learner support worker to join their support staff in working alongside learners. The school supports children and young adults who are all on various levels of the Autistic spectrum. You will need to be a patient, flexible and a positive individual to be able to support these children effectively.

Your role will include:
Working closely with children during the school day
Supporting students making sure they are able to access the curriculum
Be creative and support students to stay engaged in each lesson
Liaise with teacher and assist in lesson planning
Make sure each student is supported pastorally and educationally


Skills you will need to demonstrate:
Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
Experience of working with children essential
