A thriving school in Seaford is looking for a learner support worker to join their support team. You will be supporting children who are on the autistic spectrum from ages 4- 13. You will support them through their school day and ensure they are able to access the curriculum when they find it challenging. Autism does come with its challenges but also strengths.

Your responsibilities will include:
Assist students during class making sure they are on track.
Liaise with class teacher to ensure a smooth running class.
Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
Be an active part in setting the learning environment.
Supervision of children during their playtimes/lunch breaks.


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team
Be flexible in their approach to education
Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
