Learning / Behaviour Support Assistant
Do you know your Drake from your Post Malone? Your Salah from your Sterling? Your Ferrari from your Lamborghini? Your Instagram from your Tik Tok?
If so these could be the bridge builders you need to connect with a young person disengaged from education, to start to build rapport and to work towards a positive working relationship to help them re-start their learning journey
We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient individual to work with pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 who have been excluded from school having struggled to engage in learning and interact appropriately with their peers within a mainstream setting.
As a specialist support worker you will work as part of a committed and conscientious team to provide appropriate effective support to meet the specific needs of individual students to help them progress socially and academically.
The school has the highest aspirations for all pupils and teaching & learning strategies are matched to meet their individual needs and learning style. The pupils are grouped according to their individual needs, age and cognitive ability. The staff team understand that all of their pupils are individual and the school aims to provide all of their pupils with the opportunity to learn and make progress in a supportive, safe and nurturing environment.
