This thriving school based in the Horsham area is looking for an experienced Maths teacher who has the compassion needed to preform this role and who is dedicated and committed to provide outstanding teaching lessons. The school is designed to meet the educational, behavioural, care and therapeutic needs for students in their primary and secondary unit. The students have a range of special needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Your role will include
* Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding Maths lessons
* Assist students during class making sure they are on track.
* Liaise with support staff to ensure a smooth running class.
* Enabling learners to access the curriculum.
* Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
* Be an active part in setting the learning environment.
* Using your interests to engage learners in learning.

Key skills and experience needed
* Qualified teacher status is desirable but not essential
* A strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum
* Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
* Have experience and understanding of the students with emotional needs.
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
* Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
* Be flexible in your approach to education.
