Are you a qualified Science and PE teacher? Do you have resilience and experience working with SEN and/or EBD? Can you create and deliver engaging and effective lessons at GSCE level? Then I am looking for someone like you!

A fantastic school for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties are looking for a PE and Science teacher who aims to inspire students to succeed in education. You will be teaching lovely students in Key Stage 4, working full-time beginning the 23rd of April 2019. This school prides itself on the use of therapies which aim to improve the behaviour and social skills of students, which gives you the perfect chance to get stuck in!

Your responsibilities will include:
-Reinforcing behaviour management within the class in a positive manner
-Building strong and appropriate relationships with students and staff
-Giving feedback and supervision to your Teaching Assistant, supporting their day-to-day practice and professional development
-Taking part in meetings, training and other groups events as required
-Ensuring individual education plans are up to date with achievable goals set

An ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
-QTS and ongoing professional development in education or social care
-Able to differentiate the curriculum for individual pupils
-Experience of managing young people with SEN and understanding the implications they have
-Knowledge and awareness of Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures
-Ability to teach Science up to GCSE level
