Are you passionate to expand your career? Would you like the chance to train in a specialised SEN curriculum? Are you aware of the CABAS curriculum?


This exclusive role will not be round for long!


Situated on two separate sites this school are dedicated to support students with Autism and Speech and language needs. Their fun filled practical sessions will be on your agenda for parts of the day, as you explore how specialised therapists and teachers help students to over come their barriers to learning. These subjects include: Gardening, Work experience (On-site café), and community visits.


Your role will consist of shadowing the main teacher to find effective ways to imply different plans and strategies; whilst working alongside each individual care plan. Furthermore, you will continue your practice through training sessions and study groups each week to help you gain knowledge of the CABAS curriculum and of Autism and speech and language needs!

Job responsibilities:
- To attend all on site and off site training sessions
- Shadow main teacher to see how each classroom is effectively run
- Participate in all sessions
- Engage with students to encourage them to build strong relationships with peers and staff
- Design lesson plans and work with teacher to implement care plans


Key skills:
- Dedication and commitment to the teacher training program
- Own means of transport (as this school cannot be accessed by public transport)
- Have knowledge of SEN
- Experience in SEN education, Nursing or Support work
