Have you worked with children and young adults with ASD or SEMH ?

If you answered yes to the above I would like to present you this fantastic opportunity to extend your SEND experience at a Ofsted rated outstanding special needs school based in West London.

This special school, found in the London borough of Ealing caters for students with complex needs, aged between 11-19 years and most students have ASD, SLD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties.

The schools main focus to ensure that each and every student achieves their goals and progresses in their education as well as in their social, emotional and physical development, as a matter of fact over 80% of their pupils are in education, training or employment six months after leaving them - an achievement of which they immensely proud of.

The school are seeking a KS4 SEN teacher who is confident in their ability to engage and inspire pupils to achieve their best in line with the school's focus.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Hold QTS

- Have proven experience of teaching in a Secondary capacity

- Be experienced working within a SEN setting, ideally with ASD/ SEMH

- Be aware and have full knowledge of recent changes to the national curriculum

- Have experience of planning, delivering and teaching lessons to a good or outstanding level

You will be working with small to medium groups as the learners have complex needs and you will be expected to:

- Prepare learning materials and supervise support staff

- Have the ability to differentiate work according to each child's individual ability

- Be a positive role model

- Keep records and attend review meetings

- Work in a classroom setting
