SEN Teaching Assistant

Working Pattern: 8.30-3.30pm 5 days a week

Start date: September 2018 start.

Are you an experienced and capable Teaching Assistant looking to develop your career further?

Do you want to work in a specialist primary school with an experienced staff team who will support and guide you within the classroom setting with the aim to enable you to work independently?

Do you have experience in supporting children or adults with additional or complex needs?

You will be located in Trafford, only a short walk from the local train station. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.

You Should:

* Have experience working in a Teaching Assistant role.
* Have good communication skills
* Have experience working with complex needs students
* Have good behaviour management skills
* Be able to build relationships with staff and students
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach.

You will work alongside the class teacher to support children individually and in groups, supporting the class teacher to create a positive learning environment for all pupils.

As a special needs teaching assistant it will be your responsibility to support students within KS3/4 that have a range of complex needs including PMLD, ASD, SLD, EBD and more.

Therefore, previous experience supporting similar students will benefit your understanding of the support the children require. This role is open to both experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants as well as graduate Special Needs Teaching Assistants that are looking for a begin to their career.
