Can you provide students with a safe and secure learning environment?

A college near Aldershot is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the SEN department, providing support for students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will be supporting pupils with a varied curriculum in a further education setting, to ensure they work and learn effectively before they leave education.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutors and students
-Physically supporting learners; pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Managing behaviour and helping students to access the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following:
-An ability to adapt to a range of working environments and cater for different learning abilities
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-An ability and willingness to travel between sites on a regular basis
