PRU Teaching Assistant
Batley

This is an immediate start, with a view to extend for the right candidate

Are you looking for an opportunity to work for an outstanding Primary Alternative Provision?
A Primary Pupil Referral Unit, in the Batley area, is looking for a Teaching assistant with experience of challenging behaviours.

The setting caters for students between 5-11 years old, with Social Emotional Mental Health needs and challenging behavioural difficulties. The school are passionate about making a positive impact on young learners, using a nurture approach.

Requirements



* Candidates who are sincerely empathetic, and will strive to empower young people with challenging behaviour
* Adaptability to cope with any situation
* Strong relationship building and communication skills
* Relevant experience working with children with challenging behaviour
* Team Teach is desirable, but not essential

Responsibilities



* Providing whole class, 1:1 and small group support
* Supporting learners with additional needs
* Supporting the class teacher with academic support
* Managing behaviour in all lessons and around school
* Encouraging independent behaviour management with the students
