Do you have experience working as a teaching assistant?

Do you have experience working with people with additional needs?

We are looking for an intuitive and enthusiastic individual to support pupils aged between 2 and 11. The school caters for primary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties and/or autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). There is a wide range of learning needs most often characterised by moderate or severe learning difficulty and autism. Each pupil has a statement of special educational needs (SEN). The school is based in the Bolton area. The school has the highest aspirations for their pupils and believe that the schools role is to support and facilitate their pupils' learning so that they can truly achieve their potential.

The responsibilities of this role include:

* Helping to create lesson plans with the teacher
* Working on a one to one basis or in small groups with pupils
* Preparing for the lessons (e.g. setting up equipment, gathering materials)
* Helping to deliver interesting lesson plans

The requirements for this role are:

* A DBS on the update service
* Experience working as a teaching assistant
* Experience working with pupils with SEN
* Having a drive to improve the learning of pupils who want to achieve their best
