Working with special needs students is a rewarding career in which you guide, support and comfort students (aged 6-19) who may find everyday tasks challenging which is why I am looking for an SEND teacher who has the compassion needed to preform this role and who is dedicated and committed to providing the best guidance and support through out the day for its students.

A specialised school and college situated in the Cranleigh area is looking for a teaching assistant to join their thriving school and make a difference to their students.

Your role will require:
Engage with the learners to keep them on task
Liaise with teacher to ensure all learners are supported
Assist during break duty, outings and class activities
Deliver 1:1 or small group focused lessons when required

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:
* To provide teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/sessional planning of the teacher
* To provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
* To work individually with learners/students to develop work.
* To support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
* To monitor and evaluate learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher
* To assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
* To support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
