This non-maintained specialised school and college in Cranleigh are designed to meet the educational, behavioural, care and therapeutic needs for children and young adults aged 6-19. The students have a range of special needs including learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). You will be joining a positive and welcoming group of staff and management who will be supporting you by offering specialised training whilst working. Your role will be permanent and full time.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting a small of group students educationally
* Encourage learners to become independent
* Feeling confident working directly with students
* Positive and compassionate attitude towards learners

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:
* To provide teaching assistance to the teacher
* To provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
* To support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
* To monitor and evaluate students learning under the guidance of the teacher
* To assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
* To support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
