A Specialised school near Crawley are looking for an engaging and positive Teaching Assistant to work with students aged 6-25. The students you will be working with have a variety of learning difficulties including Autism, Epilepsy and other neurological conditions. Your responsibilities will include:
-Assisting students during class by tracking their progress
-Liaising with class teacher to lessons run smoothly
-Enabling learners to access the curriculum
-Supporting the pastoral needs of the learners
-Being an active part in creating a positive learning environment
-Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and part of a small group in a range of activities through out the day
-Using your interests to engage learners in learning
-Supporting with the students personal care

Key skills and experience needed:
-Experience working with people with special needs
-Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties including epilepsy and autism
-Have an understanding of students with emotional needs
-Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
-The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
-Be flexible in your approach to education.
-Own means of transport is essential
