A school in the Crawley area is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with SEN students in a specialised setting. You will be helping students access their subjects and get stuck in yourself! Your main responsibility will be to support students in learning key life skills and gain the independence they will need to be successful in life.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutors and students
-Physically supporting learners; pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Managing behaviour and supporting students to access the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following:
-An ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-An ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
