Working with special needs students is a rewarding career in which you guide, support and comfort students who may find everyday tasks challenging which why I am looking for a teaching assistant who has the compassion needed to perform this role. The school is based in the Crawley area.

This primary school, is designed to meet the educational, care and therapeutic needs for children. The students have a range of special needs including general learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Your responsibilities will include:
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with pupils
-Providing feedback to teacher on students' progress and development
-Creating a secure and positive classroom environment
-Supervising and monitoring behaviour
-Following the individual learning plans set by the teacher

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Be able to build positive and appropriate relationships with students and teachers
-Have a passion for working with SEN children
-Own means of transport is essential
-Able to support the general well-being of students
-Good numeracy and literacy skills
