The East Grinstead based school provides day and residential education for children and young people aged 7 -16 who have a range of social, emotional, behavioural or communication difficulties.

This SEND school is well known for its unique approach to learning. Students are able to ride and care for horses, an activity that most students find healing. They have access to a wide and varied physical education curriculum that supports their physical development.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with pupils
-Providing feedback to teacher on students' progress and development
-Creating a secure and positive classroom environment
-Supervising and monitoring behaviour
-Following the individual learning plans set by the teacher

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Be able to build positive and appropriate relationships with students and teachers
-Have a passion for working with SEN children
-Have resilience and patience to deal with challenging behaviour
-Own means of transport is essential
-Able to support the general well-being of students
-Good numeracy and literacy skills
-At least 2 references from the last 5 years
