An outstanding school in the Eastbourne area is looking for an SEN teaching assistant to support their students in their primary school.
This special need teaching assistant role is ideal for someone who has experience working with Autistic learners and has a clear understanding of the different types of support required.

This role is a temp to perm role for the right candidate.

Your role will require:
Engage with the learners to keep them on task
Liaise with teacher to ensure all learners are supported
Assist during break duty, outings and class activities
Deliver 1:1 or small group focused lessons when required

The skills required:
Previous experience working with Autistic learners is essential
Good maths and English
Patience and flexibility to deal with changes that may present themselves due to the nature of the learners
Ability to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
