A specialised school in the Godalming area is looking for a teaching assistant who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs. The school has learners from ages 7 to 19. All students have a range of academic abilities and complex needs. Your role will be vital in supporting children and being a role model who encourages and supports them on a daily basis.

Your role will include:
Supporting Autistic learners enabling them to access the curriculum
Assessing students on their development using the applied behaviour system
Applying the various methodologies of working with Autistic learners

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
Good maths and English skills
Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
