Have you got a passion for working with young people and enabling them to succeed? Do you love getting fully involved in outdoor activities and interactive learning? Have you got experience working with SEN?

A specialised school in the Godalming area are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children aged 7-19 who have a wide range of learning difficulties and speech and language needs. You will have support from care and therapy staff to aid you in your role and allow you to engage with them in a learning capacity.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Providing feedback to teacher on progress and development
-Supporting the general well-being of learners
-Supervising and monitoring behaviour
-Tailoring learning techniques to individual learners

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Have an understanding of and an interest in SEN.
-Be flexible and creative in your approach to learning techniques.
-Ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with children.
-Be confident to lead small groups in different educational subjects.
-Be able to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
-Own means of transport is essential
