Can you build positive and effective relationships with children and adults? Do you have the resilience to deal with various triggers to different situations? Do you have experience working with learning difficulties?

A specialised school set on beautiful grounds near Horsham is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able and willing to support children aged 7-19 with an interactive and practical curriculum. The students you will be working with have a range of learning difficulties such as Autism and ADHD, and Speech and Language needs.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Taking part in and supervising outdoor activities and educational trips
-Supporting the general well being of learners
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Providing feedback to teachers on students' progress and development
-Supervising and striving to improve behaviour
-Tailoring learning techniques to individual learners

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Own means of transport (essential)
-Flexibility and creativity in your approach to learning techniques.
-An ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with children.
-An understanding of and interest in SEN.
-Confidence to lead small groups in different educational subjects.
-An ability to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
