You will also have the chance to develop students' knowledge of Makaton to encourage effective communication with peers and staff.

Job responsibilities:
- Provide the best care and welfare for students with Autism and speech and language needs
- Attend weekly meetings and training sessions
- Provide support to the main teacher on community visits and outdoor educational days
- Assist with personal care, including toileting
- Learn new skills including Makaton to support students to engage in effective communication
- Participate in each session alongside your students on a one-to-one or group basis


Key requirements:
- Experience in SEN, Care or Youth Work
- Own means of transport
- A keenness to develop your knowledge and understanding of Autism and speech and language needs

This role will be on a temporary to permanent basis, starting with immediate effect. This role will be situated on the outskirts of Cranleigh.
