Are you enthusiastic about working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting with young adults? This role involves working with 19-24 year olds who have learning difficulties and disabilities and also have an education, health and care plan.


We currently require an SEN Teaching Assistant to join our books to undertake a full-time long-term supply booking starting ASAP in Knowsley for the rest of the academic year. The job will be term-time only and is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed department. The role will involve supporting learners with their educational and on occasion personal needs. You will be helping these young people to building the skills and experiences needed to pursue an active life in the local community.


- Support the class Teacher\Tutor

- Keep students on task.

- Working with students on a 1-1 basis to support them with specific learning needs.

As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant candidate you will have:

- A strong knowledge of working with SEN Pupils in a PMLD setting

- Experience working in an SEN setting and a willingness to complete some personal care.

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A strong work ethic and a professional attitude
