Are you a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Whilst looking to progress your career in Education whilst working within a mainstream school environment. The school is based in Leyland, and has a specialist centre to provide a spacious, calm and safe environment in which young people can thrive and learn.

You will be working with children in a classroom environment.

The role involves assistance with young people within the schools learning support centre, assisting by supporting students who have special needs and learning difficulties with both their academic progression and their behaviour.

Job Responsibilities:

* Supporting the class teacher and other members of the support staff
* Working with children individually and in small groups
* Encouraging children to reach their potential

Preferred Skills:

* Special Educational Needs experience
* TA Qualifications
* DBS certificate
* Willing to encourage young people to succeed
* A caring and patient personality
