Do you have experience working with pupils with complex needs and want to take on a new challenge in your career?
Do you want to work with pupils who are eager to learn and help them to progress in their education?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to work in a high school with pupils aged between 11 and 19. These pupils have a statement of special educational needs (SEN) from severe learning difficulties (SLD) to profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Some pupils have additional complex learning, sensory or physical needs and some pupils have high dependency medical needs or autism spectrum conditions (ASC).

There are many facilities in the school, including:
*Fully equipped multi-sensory rooms fitted with a range of equipment
*A soft play room
*A library
*A well-equipped food technology room
*A well-equipped design and art rooms
*A fully equipped science room
*An ICT suite
*A hydrotherapy pool

The responsibilities of this role include:
*Delivering enthusiastic and engaging lessons alongside the teacher
*Working on a one to one basis with pupils

*Helping pupils with their additional needs (administering medication, toileting, feeding etc.)

The requirements for this role are:
*A DBS on the update service
*Experience working with people with complex and additional needs
*A team teach qualification
*Being a resilient and hard-working individual

The successful candidate will work in a school with a warm, friendly and caring environment with pupils who are eager to learn and engage in lessons. You will work within a supportive staff team who will aid the development of your skills within the SEN sector.
