Do you want to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to support pupils between the ages of 2 and 11. You will be based in the Preston area in an SEN school. The school caters for various needs including; Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). All pupils have a statement of Special Educational Needs or Education Health and Care Plan. Some pupils also have complex medical needs.

The responsibilities of this role are:
*Working on a one to one basis with pupils or in small groups to support their learning
*Assisting the pupils with their additional needs (feeding, toileting, administering medication etc.)
*Helping to delivering fun and interesting lessons to the class
*Setting up the classroom for lessons (e.g. gathering materials, setting up materials for activities, making sure the environment is safe)

The requirements of this role are:
*Experience working with pupils with SEN
*A DBS on the update service
*Determination and resilience
*Being a hard working team player
