This welcoming academy school in the Reigate area are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to add to their SEN team. The successful candidate will need to be patient and caring, and able to demonstrate flexibility when working with a named SEN child. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is eager to progress and challenge themselves, completing further trainings where applicable. Currently educating approximately 500 pupils this academy school maintains a focus on the development of inspirational impactful teaching staff, ensuring that every child has the chance to be the best that they can be. The successful candidate will become part of a secure environment where creativity is encouraged. This school is looking for someone confident to liaise between the SEN team, teaching staff and parents. The role is due to start at the end of January for 37.5 hours a week from Monday to Friday in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
* Working 1 to 1 with a named SEN child
* Liaising between SEN team, class teacher and parents
* Supporting named child or small groups of children inside and outside of the classroom
* Helping the teacher to set up lessons
* Contributing to continued academic and social growth of each child
* Adapting teaching style to ensure it reaches every child

Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.

* 2 references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
* SEN experience in a UK Primary School
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum

* An up-to-date DBS on the update service
* A job history for the last 10 years
