Do you want to help support pupils and make a positive impact on their education?
Have you get experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are looking for a dedicated and positive individual to work closely with pupils with SEN. You will be working in a primary school in Salford with pupils aged between 2 and 11. These pupils have various additional needs, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), multiple learning difficulties (MLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), personal care needs and many with autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The school has staff that specialise in:
*Moving and Handling
*Team Teach and De-escalation
*Rebound, Autism & Communication
*Elklan (Speech, Language and Communication)

The school also have access to:
*School Nurses
*Occupational Therapists
*Physio Therapist
*Speech And Language Therapist
*Educational Psychologists
*Continence Nurse
*Music Teacher

The responsibilities for this role are:
*Working with pupils in small groups or on a one to one basis to enhance learning
*Helping the teacher to devise a lesson plan and then delivering this lesson alongside them
*Setting up the classroom for lessons (gathering materials, putting worksheets on desks etc.)
*Helping pupils with additional care needs (e.g. administering medication, feeding, toileting)

The requirements for this role are:
*Experience working with pupils with SEN
*Being competent and comfortable supporting with additional needs of pupils
*Having a DBS on the update service
*Being a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant/support worker
