Have you experience supporting SEND or a knowledge and understanding of complex needs, with experience supporting in a care setting and would like to use your transferable skills to support students in a specialist school setting?
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to work in a Specialist School in Stockport. You will be supporting pupils both on a one to one basis and in small groups. The pupils at this school have various learning difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD), multiple learning difficulties (MLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Several of the pupils have additional needs that they need support or guidance with so you may be required to aid with these (e.g. feeding, administering medication).
The school has access to many fantastic facilities and professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapist and speech and language therapists to name a few. Some of the facilities the school have include a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory studio and soft playrooms.
