    SEN teaching assistant

    Are you ready for a challenge to work with children who have autism, as an SEN teaching assistant?

    Randstad are extremely excited to announce that one of our partner schools is looking for an enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join a very busy and growing SEN department on a full-time basis from September - the SEN teaching assistant role requires no experience, but it would be a bonus if you have any! This role is a challenging one, working 1:1 with a Year 9 child who has autism. The boy with ASD has a challenge with accepting support and understanding boundaries.

    Requirements of a SEN teaching assistant:

    • A SEN teaching assistant will be open to work with children who have SEN
    • A SEN teaching assistant will be required to support SEN pupils with behaviour needs
    • A SEN teaching assistant will be proactive and keep busy throughout the day
    • A SEN teaching assistant will be working alongside a large team and continue to further develop
    • A SEN teaching assistant will support SEN pupils with work set during lessons
    • A SEN teaching assistant will be flexible with their job role throughout the day

    To be considered for the role of a SEN teaching assistant:

    • DBS (on the update service)
    • Ideally degree educated
    • Experience is not essential - but a bonus!
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • 2 satisfactory references must be provided
    • Proof of Address
    • Overseas Police Check will be required if you have been outside of the UK for a period longer than 6 months in the past 5 years
