We are looking for a motivated and passionate person to work in a high school and support pupils between the ages of 11 and 16. This role would be full-time, beginning September until the end of the academic year. The school is based in the Tameside area. The school strives every day to improve their provision for their pupils and they want to be offering their pupils the absolutely best education possible. The school believes that inclusion means having the pupils' needs met - both within school subjects, but also including their social and emotional needs that underpin academic progress. The pupils in the school may have severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

The responsibilities of the role include:
*Supporting the teacher deliver informative and engaging lessons
*Working in small groups and on a one to one basis with some pupils
*Helping the teacher to devise innovative lesson plans
*Assist pupils with personal care

The requirements for the role are:
*A DBS on the update service
*Experience with children or adults with additional care needs
*Be committed to achieving high levels of attainment for students
*Have a good team ethic, want to support and make a difference
