Job: Senior Asbestos Surveyor, Surrey, £30,000 - £34,000 + extensive benefits package

An Asbestos Surveyor is required for a company that offers highly tailored yet cost effective solutions aimed at minimising reputational risk, improving business efficiency and adding to the clients' bottom line.

Their asbestos division provides a range of asbestos surveying and consultancy services on a national basis with a team of competent surveyors backed by a hugely experienced lead consultant. The work is commercially focused, concentrating on large property portfolios as well as single sites for a number of major managing agents, with the Crown service being one of their largest clients.

This is without doubt, the place to work for a surveyor who wants a satisfying and diverse workload, 90% of which will be within the M25.

The Role

You will be a Senior Asbestos Surveyor, with substantial experience of working on their own. The job reports to the lead surveyor.

The role is home based and would suit someone currently living in Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or Hertfordshire with easy access to London and the motorway network. The ideal location would be around Reading / Surrey / Watford / Milton Keynes. The Surveyor must be able to work with clients across the whole of the south of England with occasional nights away from home, perhaps as many as 3 times per month but more likely to be no more than 1 per month. These are planned and agreed in advance, with overnight accommodation arranged and paid for. Some days will involve significant travel although this will be minimised as much as possible.

Provision of UKAS accredited on-site monitoring
Contractor assessment
Completion packs and updated registers

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a surveyor within a UKAS accredited consultancy. You will have surveyed a wide range of properties including industrial and commercial as well as residential and will have experience of pre-demolition surveys. Candidates will have p402 as a minimum qualification.

Appropriate candidates will be highly motivated self-starters with previous experience of a home-working model, committed to providing the best customer service and extremely high standards of reporting. My client works hard to ensure that they give their clients the best service possible - they expect a highly professional approach and quick turn-around of reports is essential.

Good interpersonal skills are required for developing and maintaining relationships with clients - and it is essential that surveyors are capable of using their initiative, sorting out problems that may arise, with help as necessary from the head

PACKAGE



* Salary - £30,000 - £34,000
* Company car (Seat Leon Estate or similar). Alternatively, a car allowance + a higher mileage allowance is available if the appointee has their own vehicle
* 20 days + Statutory holiday (to be reviewed annually)
* Discretionary bonus - based on individual performance and company profitability. Likely to generate 5% of basic salary.
* The company operates a stakeholder pension scheme. The company will contribute 3% of salary subject to the employee doing the same
