Senior Care Assistant - (39 hours)

Do you have a passion for providing first class care? Are you an experienced Senior Carer? We have an exciting opportunity available.

Helping to support children in a local residential home, you will have at least 1 years experience of working in a similar setting.

Flexible working hours are available with a total of 39 hours per week. Options for Sleep In shifts are also available and could calculate to an extra £2,000/£3,000 per year (not included in salary)

Responsibilities:



* To provide care and support to individuals in care
* To meet the assessed need of individuals identified within their individual plan.
* To maximise their independence and enhance their development skills.
* Supervise and mentor other Healthcare Assistants
* Ensure the individuals personal, social and emotional needs are met in accordance with the Individual Plan
* Maintain clear written reports
* Willing to source further training to improve capabilities for yourself and staff

You will have at least 1 years experience of working within a residential setting. Other requirements include:



* Driver with access to own vehicle
* Full driving licence
* NVQ/QCF level 3 in Children and Young people
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Understanding the needs of individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours
* Understanding of and the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
* Able to work and travel throughout the area served by the scheme
