Data & Analytics Associate

Location: Maidenhead

Contract: 8 months

Pay rate: Competative

Job Overview

The primary focus of the role is to support the business through ensuring high quality data entry/completeness, reporting, analytics and dashboards/insights development to help drive business execution. This role reports to Head of Customer and Market Insights (CMI) UK and Ireland and sits within the wider Customer Excellence and Operations Team (CE&O).

1. Data Quality
Monitoring and reporting data quality in the affiliate including Business Analytic data, MDM and reference data. Supports data steward in providing insight into data quality issues at the affiliate and suggests appropriate remediation for approval. Master Data Governance Council/CIM ELT 20%

2. External data management
* Data management (and data integrity) for UK sales data including sales unit data and patient data for high volume UK Homecare Market, 3rd party data sources (IMS) and other adhoc data requests
* Partners with the data steward function to ensure distributor data accurately reported and captured in the systems and ensure robust procedures for data loads and data quality
* Calculate and report accurate and timely patient numbers for the company and Competitors.
* Manages IQVIA Brick & Post Code mapping and Territory alignment Affiliate Strategic Insights & Analytics team/sales management 30%

3. Customer Data Management
Support local data steward with Veeva customer data management and reporting. Support local field Area Business Managers (ABMs) 10%

4. Insights & Analytics
* Applies analytical expertise to support decision making, conducting critical analyses by integrating multiple data sources to provide an objective viewpoint and recommendations.
* Development of data visualization dashboards (Qlik)
* Proactively seek opportunities to improve reporting, analytics and data visualization including use of Qlik Sense tools.

5 Reporting
* Preparation and distribution of Monthly Affiliate Performance Reports (MAP) and launch trackers including insightful commentary and managing key stakeholder input
* Continually review the format and content of monthly reporting suites to ensure they continue to reflect KPIs and business performance. Make recommendations on improvements as appropriate for affiliate leadership teams and EU+. 10%

6 Ad-hoc support & Business Intelligence
* Support the UKI CMI team generally as required on tasks, processes and projects
for affiliate leadership teams and EU+. 10%

Minimum Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Data analytics/Business intelligence qualifications
* Proficient in English; additional languages an advantage

Minimum Experience Requirements
Core Experience Requirements:
* Relevant experience within a life sciences company or consulting firm supporting the healthcare industry with a specific focus on delivery of data management, analytics and insights.
* Has a broad understanding of pharmaceutical data, including market research data, and which source to leverage in order to answer business questions most effectively
* Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure deliverables.
* Highly collaborative - must be able to navigate and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders and take guidance and direction from Regional CMI and Affiliate Leadership teams.
* Strong communication skills, particularly executive presentation skills.
* Very strong MS Office skills (Excel), Veeva & Veeva reporting

Other Experience Requirements:
* Preferable experience of Data automation/optimization software (e.g. Alteryx) and data visualization software (Qlik/Tableau)
* Solid understanding of commercial business, marketing and industry standard datasets.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skill set.
* Strong project management skills focused on attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong cross-functional coordination skills.
* Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, bright and creative individual with desire and ability to own a high-profile part of the business.
* Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn systems quickly.
* Strong capability in juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes.
* Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries is desirable.
