Randstad Engineering are currently looking for an Electrical Test Engineer to work for one of their prestigious clients based in the West Midlands.

As an Electrical Test Engineer you will be required to coordinate and undertake development sign off testing the companies engineering test specifications and support electrical commodity owners in the delivery of their module.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks



* Improve the electrical department's documentation to build detailed test procedures.
* Create Engineering Test Procedures in conjunction with Integration Engineers.
* Perform labcar and vehicle testing as required by mainstream development activities.
* Analyse test data; creating engineering reports based on findings.
* Utilisation of the dSPACE engine simulator and python script for automated testing.
* Development of HIL simulation to increase amount of automated test cases.
* Creation of test cases using VtestStudio (or similar tools) and CAPL programming.
* Provide direct technical feedback into Engineering.
* Drive robust troubleshooting of testing problems both on location and remotely.

Qualifications and Experience



* Ideally have gained experience within an automotive testing.
* Should have direct experience of testing automotive electrical functionalities and fault finding.
* Experience gained within the automotive/aeronautical industry.
* Experience with dSPACE or other automated test equipment.
* Must be able to manage external suppliers.
* Must have a good working knowledge of automotive systems.
* Ability to define and conduct relevant system testing to validate designs.
* Have a good understanding of vehicle network communications and protocol.
* Should have a good understanding of engineering process and a working knowledge of industry standard tool sets (FMEA, DVP, Six Sigma, PPAP etc.).
* Working knowledge of Vector and dSPACE toolsets.
* Should be able to develop Matlab models for dSPACE toolset.
