Our client is a top construction contractor, working predominantly on large, multi-million pound commercial builds. Sectors include healthcare and education, and they are looking to bring on a senior engineer to get on board due to their increasing pipeline.
The role will be based around the Sheffield/Chesterfield area, and the main roles and responsibilities include:
- Setting out and checking works as required
- Holding daily inductions for the team
- Maintaining a site diary
- Undertaking weekly checks and completing a task list as outlined by the Project Manager
- Checking setting out instruments weekly/monthly
- Resolve setting out queries and raise necessary RFI's in relation to these.
- General responsibility for site safety
The ideal Engineer will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Full knowledge of Drawings and Contract specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably on commercial builds.
- Experience managing teams and projects for all engineering needs.
