Are you a planning officer with over 3 years experience within development management looking to take the next step up?

Our client are a local authority based in north London who currently have requirement for 3 Senior Planning officer to join the team (the client would consider both candidates with UK and non UK planning back grounds). Initially for 3-6 months the position has a high chance of moving onto a long term ongoing contract. The rate for this role would be between £30 - 32 per hour.

MAIN DUTIES

Assess all types of planning and associated applications including site visit (generally unaccompanied), consultation, negotiation written report and recommendation to agreed timescales, including responsibility for major development proposals.

Deal with planning appeals and represent the Council at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.

Deal with planning enquiries from agents, applicants and the public.

Give pre-application planning advice to prospective developers.

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant degree

3 years experience within Development management
