Support process & facility start-up initiatives on the site.Coordinate and/or participate in appropriate assessments as required and drive corrective actions. Assist with technology transfer of API processes, including process fit, identification of equipment needs, and facility modifications.Provide oversight for Mechanical Integrity Programs (I&E, Fire Protection, Equipment, RVs, Piping, etc.)Chair and Collaborate closely with Operations colleagues in the preparation of Master Batch Records and execution of process HAZOPs, Hazard identification, risk assessments and chemical agent risk assessments and FMEAs for tech transfer of API processes.Facilitate the management of change process from a process safety perspective.Provide leadership and guidance to key stake holders on process safety related topicsBe the Subject matter expert on all process safety related audits, inspections, communications etc.Supporting improvement of chemical manufacturing process safety performance, product transfers and new product introductions Coordination and interpretation of process safety testing resultsAssist in the design and implementation of reliable and cost-effective engineering solutionsCoordination and delivery of process safety related trainingMaintain and update the Explosion Protection Documents under the supervision of the Engineering department.Oversee introduction of new products to the sites from a process safety perspective.Support and develop the sites industrial hygiene program, implement corporate requirements, prepare monitoring plan and communicate resultsCollect and analyze technical data, generate reports including conclusions and recommendations where needed.Drive the development , implementation and Management of the process safety Management programme Ensure local adherence with corporate policies and reporting in accordance with corporate requirements.Comply with all safety and quality policies and requirements. Complete any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Education and Experience:8 to 10 years' experience in a technical role in the API industry.Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering.
Technical Skills:The successful candidate will preferably have a qualification in a Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other related discipline.Previous experience in API manufacturing, pharmaceutical or related industry is preferred. Previous experience in a Process Safety role in the above industry sector would be an advantage.HazOp, risk analysis and FMEA experience;
