We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a secured live project being run from the Oxford regional office of a national contractor.
They work in the education, local authority, commercial/industrial and leisure marketplaces and a majority of the work is won through frameworks such as SCF, Pagabo, DFE and strategic partnerships with local authorities and large independent government bodies. All the work is either negotiated or 2 stage bids.
The project is a £10 million new primary school near Bicester and starts on Site August 2022 and was negotiated on JCT basis.
Your role will initially be to procure the first and most critical subcontract packages such as groundworks, frame and the services packages and then have full commercial control of the project. You will have a qs and trainee on site and you will be expected to manage, train, develop and allocate their time and resources effectively. You will have oversight of the site accounting procedures and be expected to take a hands on role with the critical desisions. Youw ill closely with the PM on site and set up the procedures for payments, valuations, remeasures, subcontractor engagement and pre-start meetings, chair client meetings, manage the variation account, manage CVR's and other internal reporting metrics all the way through to final account. You will report into a visiting commercial manager and have the full support and backing of a national contractor.
