A new Civil Engineering Senior Quantity Surveyor position has just landed in Essex! Are you looking for a new challenge as a senior quantity surveyor?

Location: Essex

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: January 2019

Salary: £55 - 65k (depending upon experience)

The Project:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for a senior quantity surveyor working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation nationwide.

This role will be site based.

You will be responsible for:



* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts

Requirements:



* Minimum 8 years experience as a senior quantity surveyor
* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works

Benefits:

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
