Key Responsibilities:
As the Quantity Surveyor for this monumental energy and infrastructure project, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project's financial aspects. Your essential duties will include:
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budget.
- Procurement: Oversee procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and contract negotiation.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential financial and contractual risks to ensure project success.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
- Contract Management: Administer and manage project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Value Engineering: Implement value engineering principles to optimize cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) is a strong plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on energy and infrastructure projects.
- Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of quantity surveying principles, cost management, and project accounting.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis and budget management skills.
- Contract Expertise: Proficiency in managing contracts, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for effective reporting and collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for addressing financial challenges during project execution.
- Risk Management: Proven experience in identifying and mitigating financial and contractual risks.
