job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected Regional Contracting business, operating out of well established Leeds Headquarters, but delivering a broad range of Construction activities across Yorkshire, the North East and North West.

Due to ongoing Project awards they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to the business. The successful candidate will join the mid-sized Project team which carries new build and refurbishment projects from £100k - £2m. Projects are generally focused on the Residential (Apartments and Bespoke Housing) and Commercial Sectors.

Typical duties will include:



* selection and procurement of subcontractors
* pre-construction and tender activity
* commercial management of plant, materials and labour
* producing valuations and final accounts
* negotiating payments

Qualifications / Experience:



* Degree or equivalent in relevant subject
* Previous experience managing multiple Projects
* Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrable experience of new build and refurbishment projects
* Strong financial understanding with high IT competency

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial specialist to develop a department and evolve into a Commercial Manager position within a relatively short period.
